Overview
KEMIN ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH – EMENA is seeking a: Regulatory Affairs Specialist
The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be involved in developing and implementing regulatory strategies for the Middle East region and take ownership on all regulatory tasks for this specific region. This will involve responsibilities for registering new products and ensuring compliances with regulatory requirements, as well as maintaining product registration approvals or import permits by ensuring compliance with legal requirements and implementing post-approval changes required. In addition, the Regulatory Affairs Specialist will provide support in the administrative tasks for the IPRA (Intellectual Property & Regulatory Affairs) team.

Responsibilities
Plan and manage product registration portfolio for the countries in the Middle East region
Prepare registration dossiers, amendments, monthly reports, and supplements for submissions to regulatory authorities under supervision from relevant team members
Act as the key contact person, internal co-ordination and administration to support the registrations/import licenses of Kemin feed additive and biocide products and application systems in the dedicated region
First point of contact for the customers/distributors in the dedicated region regarding regulatory questions (compliance, registration) – funnel person to provide correct information
Interact directly with the correct regulatory contact person in the European headquarters to obtain the necessary documentation/information for the relevant countries in the Middle East region
Ensure completion of registration / labelling paperwork/support for import licenses
Translate/verify translations of documentation between English and Arabic languages
Review and recommend changes for registration/labelling documentation in the dedicated region
Provide input to support the assessment for changes regarding all manufacturing/testing facilities for the market
Stay current with industry trends, new regulations, and communicate the key learnings to the business unit toward improved product positioning
Understand regulatory requirements and relevant government regulations in the dedicated region, as well as stay current on regulatory issues affecting Kemin products in these countries.
Evaluate and research any submission deficiencies, additional information or testing as requested by regulatory authorities.
Review and approve marketing literature in line with regulations in the dedicated region and with Kemin policy
Participate in Distributor and Sales contracts handling: text revision and formalization
Prepare colleagues as backup for planned absence. Act as backup during absence of team members in other regions in agreement with the line manager
Qualifications
- Higher education (Bachelor)
- Fluency in English and Arabic languages is required (command of Turkish language is a plus).
- Excellent attention to detail required, reliable, highly motivated, ability to work independently and interacts well in a team environment
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, e-mail, ERP-systems, …)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position is preferred
- Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, demonstrated good technical writing skills, ability to present ideas effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, demonstrated prioritizing, planning and project management skills.
