Job Purpose:

Under the overall supervision of the procurement Section Head, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for implementing the procurement activities in accordance with institute procedures and assist in all duties in procurement department.

Major Responsibilities:

– Receive purchase request and ensure that purchase request is completed with all required data and necessary approval.

– Provide recommendations to project managers on prices and market variables.

– Preparing and following up price offers.

– Directly preparing and following up for purchase request and vendors.

– Prepare a monthly report on procurement operations’ accomplishments.

– Follow up the minutes of the tenders and procurement committees, as well as the technical committees for tenders to ensure that they are in accordance with the supply system.

– Complete, follow up invoices, records them and send them with all their attachment to the finance department.

– Conduct supply market analysis to measure the capability and capacity of a market.

– Manage variances in pricing over time or between suppliers by attending business conferences or market visits

– Carry out any other tasks and obligations assigned to you by your line manager that fit within your area of expertise.

Major Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance and Banking or any related Field.

– (3-5) years minimum experience in Procurement.

Skills & Abilities:

– Excellent communication skills and following up.

– Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS word, Excel, etc.).

– Skill in electronic data processing systems and ERP.

– Good awareness of preparation reports.

– Excellent analytical skills

Language Requirements:

– Good English & Arabic communication skills (both oral and written).
